This synthetic explosion sound is bigger than that of "ExplosionBombBlastAmbient", giving a hint of a large fireball that rises for a few seconds after the initiation of the blast. Still, it is totally synthetic (not a recording). Pretty good, I think. Created in Cool Edit Pro.

Smaller as in file size? No. I don't generally post sounds with lossy compression unless they are crazy long to start with. This one is only 12 seconds, most of it is only the first 5 or 6 seconds and the remainder is for folks who want to emphasize the tail decay. But it's trivially easy to cut this off at the half-way point (with or without an envelope adjustment to taper it off), convert to FLAC or MP3, or whatever format you want. I don't see much value in trying to guess every possible variation someone might want and posting them all, when it's still the same basic sound inside -- that just dilutes the value of what is available on freesound. There are, however, some other sounds in this same pack, some of which are likely shorter (and some longer), but I expect they are all in WAV format and at least 44.1kHz.
