I attached a contact microphone to the coils behind my refrigerator while it was on. The sound was a interesting drone. Recorded with a Cold Gold contact microphone into a Zoom H4.

    Such a comforting sound to me. If it was a longer file I beleive I could take a nap listening to it. I must have been fascinated by that type of sound as a child because, it always makes me think of sleep when I hear something like it.

    Sorry barely perceptable in the mix - but it just gives a subconscious bit of realism to one of the backgrounds I used - the moving green circles.
