I was animating a giant machine where the components were supposedly bearing up to 72,000 lbs of force. The acceleration, and hence the visible motion, was miniscule, so the sound of the components straining was critical.

I slowed this sound down by a few different VERY large amounts layered together, and the results were like music - perfect for my needs. Thanks a lot!
