Sound recorded in C/Hospital by the Museums team (Beatrice Behlen, Mizan Rambhoros, Carolina Vasilikou and Ilaria Sartori) during the fieldwork of the workshop AHRC Sensory Cities Network.
Dynamic and narrative recording. It starts inside the hall of a building, in a confined shadowy space with a peculiar acoustic. Mizan is holding the recorder. Three workers are restoring and plastering the walls, you can hear the sound of their tools and a radio in the background. Then we cross the threshold and go back to the street. Voices speaking different languages, wheels, cars. Mizan stands by a container in the corner of the street: here street workers are taking scrap metal and hammering it in order to fit a maximum amount into a cart.
