This is a purely synthetic, single cricket "chirp" I created in Cool Edit Pro after analyzing a recording of a real one, trying to get it to sound the same. This one attempts to include a raspy sound the cricket would occasionally produce, as if there were some inaccuracy in its mechanics. This goes hand-in-hand with CricketChirpSyntheticPure. If you want to hear the sound I was basing it on, listen to JunePM_CricketAndAspens, but beware -- it is rather long (big file).
