Squishing half a grapefruit in a bunch of different ways to make some gross and strange sounds. Recorded with AT4021 mic an Modified Marantz PMD661. There was some noise from our neighbor's heat so I EQ'd that out as much as possible.

Hey!
I used your sound in my new documentary series about Germany! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dldjoXg4UYY

It's the sound of an amoeba dissolving a paramecium.

You are listed in the end credits and at the following link since Youtube wouldn't let me put all the credits in the description field: http://bit.ly/13WTrBw
The credits are also accessible by clicking on the credit link when it appears in the video during the credits at the end.

Thank you for sharing your sound! If you like the show, please share it around.

Thanks,
Kris Boruff

I'm using the part from -:25 to -:23 for some ants getting squished. Sound effect is a perfect fit for the animation.

Have you ever read up on mummification practices in Ancient Egypt? They would pull out the brains of a freshly dead cadaver through the noise using a hooked instrument. Lobotomies in (more) modern times used a similar method for extracting pieces of grey matter. I think the correlation I am drawing here with your grapefruit is evident.
