I found a set of huge, circular, aluminum serving platters at a local junk store. I set up 2 small diaphragm condensers in an X/Y pattern and a large diaphragm condenser straight on. Recorded to 3 tracks (Sound Devices 788T) and mixed down to 2 tracks with the X/Y in left/right and the large diaphragm panned center.
