The "annoying" speed chime, turned world famous drift hero by Initial D.
A common issue with these chimes is that the second impact is muted by the impact rod. For all the tuning Takumi's AE86 undertook, its a wonder Bunta never even had a peek at it.
This is marked by the second bell ringing, but not in its entirety; being muted part way through by the impact rod. This is the most common sound for a speed chime to make.
If you want realism for the dingy Corolla in your Assetto Corsa mod, this is the file for it.
Though this may be the most realistic, for nicer cars I implore you to use the Strong sound this chime is meant to make. It sounds much nicer.
This rendition is a pre-timed, loopable, clean version of the chime, recorded from a real imported 86640-12070 "King Kong" (kin-kon) chime. Sound created by attaching a power supply set to 12v ~0.35a in an amateur studio. Like many of my files, these are completely free to use without even giving credit! :) My only request is you tell me where you use them!
These are also called 「速度警告チャイム」(sokudokeikoku chaimu) meaning "Speed warning chime" and colloquially 「キンコンチャイム」 (kinkon chaimu) literally derived from the "kin-kon" sound it makes.
