This is the sound of tree branches rubbing against a treehouse during a wind storm. Also the sound of leaves on the tree rustling in the wind. Here is a play by play: 0:00 I start on the outside of the treehouse, near a spot where several branches are rubbing against the roof. The wind overpowers the mics a couple of times but it isn't too bad. There are a few intense gusts which really move the tree and the treehouse which causes me some concern. 3:25 I move to a protected side of the treehouse, to capture the sound of the leaves. 4:42 The neighbor's chickens make a few sounds. 5:08 I must have walked back out into the wind. More leaves. 6:38 More chickens. 6:54 I move over to another spot, where the main trunk of the tree is rubbing against a piece of sheet metal. 8:45 I open the treehouse door and go inside. More creaks, but no rushing wind sound. I'm not exactly sure what the occasional harmonic sound is - I think it may have been a branch that was rubbing against a large board. 10:35 I set the mic down on a shelf just on the other side of the wall where the main branch is rubbing. 11:12 I run out of tape. Later I came back and cut off the branches that were rubbing against the house since they were really moving it around. I was worried that they may cause the house to collapse. If there is interest, I can post WAV clips from this. Or the whole thing. Let me know via a comment below.
