Binaural recording of windstorm on December 14, 2006. I just noticed that I accidentally saved it in some weird 4-bit compressed WAV format, I will upload a FLAC later today, and perhaps someday we can delete this one. Now to describe this file... we recently had a pretty good wind storm, with maximum gusts of about 80 mph. When I recorded this, the winds were about 30-50 mph, with no rain. I had one window wide open in front of me, and another to my left, open just a crack to make the whistling sound. So straight in front of you, you are hearing the wind blowing through the tall trees across the street, and some sound of the wind rushing by the open window. You also hear the sound of a metal downspout or something on the house across the street, scraping back and forth in the wind. To your left you hear the wind whistling through the other window, which is open just enough to make it whistle. The wind did blast the mics a few times, sorry about that.
