Now this is one of my favourite recordings. This is a true binaural recording of a steam locomotive arriving at Tan-Y-Bwlch railway station on the Ffestiniog steam railway in west Wales, UK. The train whistles as it approaches and then passes by my position before coming to a halt. The railway guard also walks past asking for tickets and then shouts the station name as the train stops. It was a calm and dry day, giving perfect recording conditions as the 18:10 to Porthmadog passed. The Ffestiniog railway's website can be found here: http://www.festrail.co.uk
