After installing new sod in my front lawn, I began draining the water from the steel roller drum used to push the sod into the soil. You can also hear my daughter as she arrives home from school and notices the sound herself. Recorded with a generic, mono dynamic mic into a Sharp MD-MS702.

I used this recording as part of a sound piece played within a sculptural cave-like installation called the "Cryptic Lagoon", by Andrew Kerr, exhibited at Utrophia Project Space in Deptford, South London.
The recording was played fairly straight and also granulated to the point of sounding like an ape playing free jazz on a child's gamelan set.
