Got an Akai LPD8 thinking of trying to make drums using samplers like Decent Sampler and Sforzando. This is an early try after mapping the midi to the pads.
Did have to pull the LPD8 apart, put electrical tape under the pads to soften them up a bit. Not quite screwing it back together again properly let there be a bit of spill between drum samples of different drums in the kit, which sounded more realistic, so left it like that.
Some reverb applied and compression just for glue.
