An early autumn afternoon in a settlement of Roma gypsies the Transsylvanian village of Țichindeal/Romania, basically just two mud roads with about 50 or so hovels in various states of disrepair.
The recorder is standing at the top of a hill on the outskirts of the settlement, while the villagers go about their business, talking outside and in one of the hovels near the recorder. Crows, jackdaws and the occasional rooster can be heard.
Recorded with a Rode NT-SF1 and matrixed to stereo.
