Hohner Marine Band Special 20, 10-hole diatonic harmonica, C Major; played in second position, G blues scale. Recorded in an old quarry at the foot of a rock fall, by the side of a river on a sunny Saturday. Captured via a Zoom H2n in 4-channel surround mode, mid-side close to the source, X/Y facing the cliff. X/Y level boosted 9dB before bouncing to 2-channel, increasing the ambience provided by the horseshoe cliff face. Birds sing, crows call, wind moves through the trees.
