To answer your doubts. I just recorded my natural voice and eliminated the small amount of background noise with a noise-reduction-filter. Then I normalized up to -0.2dB and did applied little compression, thats all.

Yep I can confirm! Not sure if it is tweaked massively in post or that's just how he naturally sounds but it sure is fascinating :)
