The Roland SH-1 was produced between 1978-81, and is similar to the contemporary SH-09 and SH-2. While the SH-2 was a 2 VCO synth, the SH-1 had one like the 09, but with added features such as a second envelope (AR) for the VCA, as well as white and pink noise source. The envelopes are fast and the filter self-resonates in ways sympathetic to subtractive drum sounds.

VoidyIsCool Might not be correct. This sound was pitched up and used as the hurt sound for the creeper. When Alpha v1.2.0 came around, they modified it to make it sound similar like the death sound, which is the creeper hurt sounds we know today.
