Response to a request for silence - http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5558#5558 - just too bizarre to be ignored! 10 seconds of blissful silence - and it's even loopable if you want it for longer! (Will anyone d/l it ... how about you Schulze?) And do give it a rating. Feb 07: Requested shorter versions, Silence1, Silence2, and Silence5 are now also on FS.

It shouldn't have been so hard to find a silence.wav so thanks for providing one. Now I don't have to hear any sounds from my computer, even those that override the default no sounds scheme in windows (like activesync). I couldn't even record silence on Total Recorder! Perhaps provide a 1 sec version for folks who don't want to not hear the full 10 seconds. I give the sound a 10
