A two-tone doorbell with very long decay. 28 Apr 06. Sony MD and stereo mic. The door bell has two very long resonating metal tubes. The mic was between them. I visited a customer at this house and rang the bell. 60 seconds later, standing in her hall, it was still resonating. I said "can I come back and record your bell?" She thought I was mad, but agreed!

These are truly beautiful tones, reminiscent of my parents' doorbell. I am also impressed with your first noticing the long decay time while not looking for a recording opportunity.

very cool.... I may end up using it for a production later this month (though for our purposes I'm probably going to shorten the decay envelope somewhat).
