Made with Audacity and parts from elsewhere. Created a large part of this in 2013 for a game mod, then modified it more recently (late 2014). Most of the machine hum was from a very distorted drum beat that I made on Hydrogen in 2013 that came out horrible while I was fooling with Audacity, but I kept playing around with it.
I used loads of reverb, echoes, reversal, slowed speed, and did it again, trying to give the illusion of vast space and buildings with great empty streets, Some of the buggy bits became echoes as if other things were happening and came out better than I expected.
