This is actually the first thing I recorded once I got all the pieces together, and was not intending on keeping it. I laid down a click track and played a simple arpeggio progression on my MX49 for a couple of minutes. I just needed to record a drum track and dial in the mix for the kit (Roland V-drums), never intending to keep it. I was not concerned with accuracy, to the click, only the levels produced by each drum or cymbal using different attacks. Therefore the piece is not as tight as I would normally produce. But once I listened to it a few times I thought that it would be fun to play around with. I've since cleaned up some of the timing issues (not all) and added the intro which is a short, pitch-modified clip from "THE ABYSS", a sound I created and have posted here on Freesound.
I continue to work on this, and a completed version of it may be put out on the upcoming MGSTUDIO website, along with many other works I have in-process, but feel free to use this if you can.
You are free to use this as you see fit, in whole or in part. All all I ask is that you add Mad Gravity Studio to your work as a contributor. I'd love to hear what you can do with it.
Please make this old guy happy, okay?
