You can often see people playing African drums in the park on Sundays these days in Japan. The players I found on the day seemed to be really from some part of Africa. I love this kind of playing. Recorded with Sony MD Walkman and two omni-directional microphones.

The recording quality is just amazing! When I heard first this track I was totally confused since I believed someone starts really to play around me. Those realistic positioning effects I knew till know only from what is called in German "Kunstkopfstereophonie", what means to record with microphones that are residing within an artificial head to simulate the directional filters of our ears.
