Powerful start of a BMW Z3. This was recorded on a parking place with 2 MBHO MBNM410 omnidirectional microphones. The microphone distance between each other was about 1 m. The distance to the starting car was about 1.5 m. I used Joemeek ThreeQ preamps.I applied a little bit compression (LADSPA Dyson compressor) to the recording.

Many auto engine sounds are quiet, as are most, modern car engines. This one is more pronounced, perfect for an situation where you want the message to be emphasized. "This is a CAR!"
