While working with explosions, I had to recreate the elements for throwing a grenade. Well, here it the pin pull. I tossed a large metal bolt on the ground and a large metal chisel with it to create this grenade hitting ground sound effect.

This is a really deeply satisfying plink. It resounds nicely, and I like hearing it, and I think our fans liked hearing it too in our CHESS BATTLE in our show ComboDome: Friends Fighting Friendily & Frequently.
I used the sound to support chess pieces being hurled off the board at something close to mach-speed by the end, when we all got very used to playing chess.
