Good thinking: this fits a scene where Coppola is trying frantically to signal a malfunctioning elevator about to kill Scorsese, and he's seen jabbing the button fast in panic - I could not for the life of me find a sequence of fast button jabs and constructed it would sound unnatural. Your FX saved the scene. I would NEVER have thought of this. I'd explain why the hell the scene involves Francis and Marty but it's easier to just tell you to Google "Movieopolis". NOW you know.
