A recording made with a contact mic pressed to a tree. It is reminiscent of a heartbeat. It was made on a rainy afternoon in July at Royal Park in Melbourne. The recording is mostly low frequencies, so is hard to hear with headphones or a smartphone. I have also uploaded a version with processing that makes it easier to hear on headphones. The contact mic was plugged into a Zoom H5 portable recorder.
