Anyone tested this?

http://www.soundman.de/en/windshield/

Wearable? Comfortable?

Basically, what I'm looking for, is something - that keeps transparency of sound, while blocking wind noise (distortions).

What do you mean "comfortable?" !!

Are you planning to wear your microphone windshield as a hat?

Or maybe your want it as a warming garment for your naughty bits?

Binaural recordings (not confuse with binaural beats - these are two totally separate things) are made either with dummy heads or software processing (only few apps can really do it) or with in-ear mics. Google it to understand why. Anyway improper windshielding may and will affect binaural-specific spatial cues.

Of course, I actually studied Binaural Beating quite extensively.

And I know all about binaural recording in fact; I was just making a joke in my original reply.

Sorry about that. wink

Try looking at Roycote windshields:

Yes I can vouch for all Rycote products. They seem to have incredibly well thought-out designs in my experience; practicality, durability and comfort (all you need).

The link is dead, now it's here :

I've got this windshield, it's efficient, but not really comfortable, it's really putting a lot of pressure on your ears, so I wouldn't recommend it for duration recordings, unless you're using a dummy head.
