hi,
i love freesound so big ups first of all.
but id like to suggest that preview scroll capability would be really awesome.
whenever i want to listen to a sample, i have to listen to the whole sample from start to finish and there is no way to scroll to the middle and it would save so much time to have the ability to scroll right into middle of the sample.
or is this already available and i am not aware of how to use it?

At some point in the future, there will be Freesound 2, and then there will a new sound player, you can read about it, and test it here.
