Hi im new to this site and found it about a week ago and downloaded a cool sound. So i come back today and search for another sound and nothing, everytime i search for a sound like street or waves nothing returns am i doing something wrong is it to do with my settings on pc or what.

would greatly appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction

I don't think your doing anything wrong because the same thing happens to me also.

For now try using either the SAMPLEPACKS or use the TAGS to see if you can find what your looking for.

It looks like the formatting of the search page is mangled...but if you scroll down you will find your search results.

You know sometimes Sounders like me
will change the tags of theirs sound,
so this is just regular that for the same keywords
you don"T get the same result in some cases...

If your search don"T give good results try to use this tips,
on Google write:

"site:freesound.iua.upf.edu street flower etc"
http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=site%3Afreesound.iua.upf.edu+street+flower+etc&btnG=Search&meta=

another example here:

"site:freesound.iua.upf.edu big explosion"
http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=site%3Afreesound.iua.upf.edu+big+explosion&btnG=Search&meta=

you will get more intelligent results in some cases, :twisted:
