I don't see it in the dropdown menu whenever I click on the three-dot's button. Is this normal?

The old UI is not available anymore so you won't see the option in the menu.

No me gusta, me confunde mucho, el antiguo era mas facil, me alegro que puedan aportar algo mejor a la gente pero es confuso y frustrante

They can't maintain 2 codebases at once. As the new codebase updates, it becomes increasingly divergent from the old one. They have likely updated the server, netcode, or other under-the-hood aspects of things as well. So, the server might not understand requests made by the old pages anymore. The waveform/spectrogram images and a number of other aspects were fundamentally changed as well, so the system now needs to call the new imagery.

They're also not a big organization. It seems like about 2 people work on code/backend and they are part of a group of about 5 who administer Freesound in general.

Thanks @strangehorizon,

Exactly, we don't have the bandwidth to maintain two UIs. Freesound is a university project, we don't have a team of devs or anything similar to maintain legacy codebase. The new UI allowed us to update many things that make Freesound development more sustainable and allow us to add new features more easily.

You should fire the person who designed it and start again. It's unintuitive and ugly. One of the worst "updates" I've seen on a previously user-friendly site. No donations until the site is fixed. This is so bad. Truly awful.

I miss the old free sound, straight from the 'Go free sound
Chop up the soul free sound, set on his goals free sound
I hate the new free sound, the bad mood free sound
The always rude free sound, spaz in the news free sound
I miss the sweet free sound, chop up the beats free sound
I gotta to say at that time I'd like to meet free sound
See I invented free sound, it wasn't any free
And now I look and look around and there's so many free sound
I used to love Kanye, I used to love free sound
I even had the pink polo, I thought I was free sound
What if Kanye made a song about Kanye
Called "I Miss The Old free sound," man that would be so free sound
That's all it was free sound, we still love free sound
And I love you like Kanye loves free sound

I'm gonna be honest here: I thought you mods were lax for putting up with me, but you're definitely lax for putting up with these kids. You gave plenty of advance warning the new site was coming, and now you're actively taking and implementing suggestions, but only the veteran users seem to know or appreciate it.

No one would be upset with you if you started deleting non-constructive threads/posts. Honestly, just make the site 18+ and it would improve overnight.

As for all the people using the manipulative and emotionally loaded "something changed so I'm not sending Freesound any more money" approach, I'm donating on your behalf.

Ok it's an ok change, could be more moblie friendly but whatever. I honestly don't see any problems as well with the fact I only use this to get sounds for scratch projects.
