Hey gang, I've used free sound for a long long time now and feel super at home in the new UI. However, when not taking nostalgia into account, I think this new UI feels pretty user friendly and effective. I noticed that a lot of the stuff in this form was negative, so I wanted y'all to know that your work is indeed appreciated by a silent portion of the community!!

Also just bought my freesound t-shirt in pink and I love it. Anybody who is considering buying them, they're super high quality and it's super fun to rep freesound. Thanks!

Thank you for your feedback.

I will miss the nostalgia of the old UI but I dig the new UI and it'll take time to get use to for sure.

Hi,

Thanks for posting this positive message, it is really appreciated!
Here is a list of the changes and new features of the new UI https://freesound.org/help/faq/#what-are-the-new-features-brought-by-the-new-user-interface
The new UI will allow us to add more interesting things to Freesound, and this is actually very exciting

Cheers,

frederic

The new UI is (in my humble opinion) amazing, and a welcome set of changes. I shared the new website with a couple of communities that I belong to, and the response from others was also positive.

Really appreciating the hard work put into and the vision for Freesound that you all have. This platform is nice to have around.

It took some time to get used to but I also like the new UI. I especially like dark mode!

The light mode in the new ui is SUPER bright. I'm just glad they have a dark mode. If it wasn't for dark mode this site would of become on usuable.
