Yes, I'd rather keep recording sounds. smile

When you think that you already know how..., it means that you don't know anything yet!

Yes, AI technology is truly remarkable. I love following its developments. These sounds are surely useful for effects in filmmaking.
But I still need to see how AI will manage to reproduce a beautiful sound recording in a quiet forest. I think it will (for now) sound quite artificial.
Here's an example of a real sound recording I just have uploaded;
https://freesound.org/people/klankbeeld/sounds/826229/

let's see AI try to replicate that. A nice challenge for everyone.

I'm very curious.

To hear, you first have to listen

Interesting… And maybe good to make some SFX in some circumstances, indeed.
However, I deeply agree with @newlocknew and@klankbeeld :
In my opinion, these kind of things will never replace true life experience, as well as the pleasure I feel when recording outside ! So, I’ll continue to do it, hoping some people still could appreciate! wink

Wishing you all the best !

I don't think they will replace real life completely, especially voiced sounds. I make erotic sounds of myself, and from the comments,, part of the reason people enjoy them seems to be because they know it is real sounds of me enjoying myself.
