Rainstorm and loud thunderclap on a French suburb.
This recording has been made from the balcony of my flat, located in Nanterre (western suburbs of Paris, France).
As it was the end of summer, a strong rainstorm came suddenly. I just had the time to set the recorder on the balcony :
First, one can hear heavy rain with some cars passing by in the wet street, and at #00:57, a very loud thunderclap strikes on the left.
Then, the storm continues, with more distant thunderclaps and rain becoming gradually lighter, while some vehicles and some passers by’s voices can be heard.
Recorded in August 2025 with a Zoom H5studio (built-in XY microphones).
Fade in/out applied in Audacity.
