Warm Synth Bass

I have synthesized the samples in this pack in an attempt to fulfill a sample request by Timobile for a synth similar the one in NIN's "A Warm Place" (youtube.com/watch?v=G1vxJb6MQ34, starting at 0:23 / 0:24). Just something that gives one the same comfortable, warm feeling when listening to it. I have tried to obtain a synthbass sound which is warm and slightly overdriven. Listening and watching the video on the link, I wanted something that sounded like it was coming from vintage speakers and valve based synths. These samples were made using Reason's Thor synth with 2 multi-wave oscillators set to saw. Thor's filter 1 was set to 18dB Low pass, Thor's waveshaper was used to provide a touch of soft clip followed by Filter 2 also set to low pass. A small portion of the oscilator signal was fed directly to the filter 2 with no cliping.Filter 3 was set to Comb+.Healthy amounts of Thor's built in Echo and Chorus were used to phatten up the sound. The signal was split, part was filtered to take out the top and the bottom and then fed to a Chorus, anothe whilst part of the signal was kept dry and mixed back in.A Screm Distortion unit set to Tape mode and low amount of distortion completed the processing in Reason. The sound was further processed in Ableton Live 7.USed the built in EQ to reduce the high freq content and was fed to an amp simulator to provide the finakl warmth and vintage feel. The samples are numbered so that samples with number 400X are different octaves obtained with the same settings. Samples 410X where obtained with different filter settings or a slightly different amount of clipping or chorus.Hope you find these samples useful. Comments are definetely most welcome.
