This sample was created in Ableton Live 7 using xoxos excellent percussion synthesis plug-in "Snare".This free plug-in based on physical modelling and can be found at:http://www.breathcube.com/vst/vst.html#effectsThe plugin can produce some decent snare sounds. Do not expect "instant gratification", though, you will need to experiment with the parameters in order to obtain good snare sounds - which is part of the fun, in my opinion!Please note that the plugin can produce very loud sounds, especially when its parameters are re-set. A limiter plug-in (or low volume settings) are a must to protect your speakers and your ears!This sample is an example of the type of sounds than can be produced when the plug-in parameters are re-set. These sounds tend to be much louder than the normal "snare" sounds produced by the plug-in, so watch out!The first time the plug-in was triggered after re-seting the parameters, this sound was produced. Sometimes wierd sounds are produced for the first 2 or 3 times the plug-in is used after reseting. So it is best to sample the sounds you like for better use than to try to use it live or do a lot parameter automation when using the plug-in.This sound has the potential to be a very useful sample on its own.
