I copied the file https://freesound.org/people/florianreichelt/sounds/683096/
4 times, and each new file was both low-pitched AND high-attenuated (high-frequency attenuated; not absolute cut). Each file was more low-pitched than the previous but all had the same duration/length.
Finally I used mildly WaveLab 11's restore effect on the mixdown.
