@kevp888 and @inchadney,
To take this kind of shot go to the following web link;
https://rx-tx.info/map-sdr-points?freq_of=156&freq_to=156&bands=All&country=All&title=&qth=&url=&type%5B3%5D=3 (not blinds friendly I guess, sorry kevin)
To make a recordings I listened on 156 MHz marine traffic radio. I made the recordings with Audacity on the computer.
And what proximity the proximity to the coast.
These huge vessels sometimes have to go to port to do a difficult job or to do major maintenance. And Yes, this manoeuvring is top sport. One mistake and you have massive damage.
The ship below was also in Vlissingen in September 2005.
https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pioneering_Spirit. That was fascinating to see.
I can look to it and listen to this for hours.
I know; I'm a little strange. I have a river and coast fetish.
I go to the nearby rivers near my house every week and to the sea at least twice a year for shipping. In another week, I will be enjoying the Dutch river delta and its surrounding ports for three weeks.
have fun in life guys

I know what you said about it, but give us more information, as this event is so close to the shore

How brilliant! Just love radio communication! Thanks!, And like Kevin said: what is this is all about...and: how did you managed to record this perfect conversation?

@kevp888 and others.

here a impression of the communication in words;

“Stuurboord” means “starboard.”
“Charli klein drukje” could refer to a small adjustment.
“Beetje minderen” means “reduce a bit.”
“Stoppen met boegschroef” translates to “stop using the bow thruster.”
“Klein beetje snelheid eruit” means “reduce speed slightly.”
“Stop maar” simply means “stop.”
“Ik houdt het in de gaten” translates to “I’m keeping an eye on it.”
“Vang hem maar een beetje op” means “catch it a bit.”

Unfortunately, I can’t understand Deutch, but I’m sure it would be very interesting to follow and understand the whole process !
