(BTW, this text is quite of a relic: my mum's recipe, handwritten on the back of an old envelope, syntax and vocabulary not just local and old-fashioned but also very peculiar. Here it goes: 'Chicharos. Se ponen con agua fría que los cubran a hervir. Una vez hervidos se echan en la olla junto con: tomate, pimiento, ajos mucho, casi una cabeza, cebolla, perejil, pimiento molido, y aceite generoso. Se le echa el agua y se hierven un cuarto de hora o 20 minutos en la olla cerrada. Luego se abre la misma y se le echa la sal y se hierve sin tapar unos 10 minutos')
