A series button-pressing clunks from a vintage (mid-1960s) home reel-to-reel tape recorder (Philips EL 3586 tape recorder).
There are just subtle variations as each of the buttons are pressed and release but there is decent heft to the sound and the internal springs can be heard resonating.
Recorded using a single Lewitt LCT 540S into a Zoom F4 at 96kHz.
