Stereo - Canadian Pacific's restored 4-6-4 Hudson #2816 the "Empress" on a return trip from Vancouver. This is on the secondary main line through BC and is just west the Alberta border. Grade is 1.75%. The loop is about 6 miles long and lifts the train 70 feet to cross the continental divide. Sony TC154 cassette recorder. Pair Rode NT3s mics. Heavy editing due to "people" problems.

Many thanks for the vote of confidence. Glad you enjoyed it. Sadly, Canadian Pacific has shut down their steam program until after 2010. Rumour has it that it may not start up again at all.
