The best time of year to record those blackbirds is the springtime. This track was recorded in the middle of April.
For this I use some Panasonic microphone capsules, I had fixed to a board, which are about 50 cm apart, covered with a DIY windshield, the rather good FEL Battery Microphone Amplifier BMA1 and the iriver ihp-120 recorder.
