Call of an unidentified bird in Canberra, Australia recorded at sunset (around 21:30) on 9 January 2019. Recorded on a mobile phone (Nokia 6.1) and slightly enhanced in Audacity (Normalisation and Noise Removal).

I've heard the same bird call several times (at this time of summer) over the years. I think a local ornithologist identified this bird as a visiting member of the Cuckoo family. (Scientific Name: Eudynamys orientalis) The bird has a variety of calls in repitoir and loud calls are not unusual before dawn they tell me (I wear earplugs at night).
