Recorded in my bedroom
Snare model: Pearl Export 14 x 5,5"
Heads:
- batter = Remo Controlled Sound X Coated
- reso = (stock) Remo Emperor Clear (?)
Mics:
- top = t.bone CD 55
- bottom = t.bone BD 200
I did some measuring in Studio One 3 and it claims that the most resonant note is A#3. Make sure to check with a frequency meter tho, there´s an area just a bit higher above the note which adds the low end and punch. I also suggest using a 6db High Shelf starting at around 2 k Hz as the batter side was cranked almost table top for my drum´n´bass/garage punk works (I use it as a sample or a trigger)
