Morning in the countryside

When I started this recording on the 24th of April 2004 in a forest in rural Perthshire / Scotland, very early in the morning, the dawnchorus hadn´t
even started. So what you hear are the distant river and some distant
owls, before a Robin and a Blackbird start the day. During the
recording you can hear a woodcock flying by. Sony TCD-D7 DAT recorder with the SBM device and 2 Sennheiser K3 / ME80 microphones.

This has got to be one of my favourite recordings. You timed your session beautifully. Great work!

I like this sample a lot. (I'm using it as soundscape for my Werewolf: The Apocalypse Role Playing sessions)

I love the owls in the distance, and how the dawn chorus just ever so gradually begins. Thanks for getting up so early! :)
