To make this track I combined my recording of an Iraqi boy named Karrar singing a traditional Shia religious song a-capella in the Naseriyah office of Iraqi political figure Muqtada Al Sadr with a drum sample that I recorded during a Shia religious ceremony in southern Iraq in 2004.
