This is a laser sound in old 8 bits video games like Galaga or Space Invaders. It was entirely make with audacity. To make it, follow these instructions :
- New track
- Generate a saw-tooth "Chirp": start frequency at 1200Hz and end at 50Hz. Amplitude of 0.7 at the beginning and at the end. Linear interpolation and duration of 0.2s
- Duplicate the track
- Offset the second of 0.015s
- Remove 0.015s at the beginning on both tracks
- Mix and render both tracks
- Use the phaser effect and set the following parameters: phase 2; dry 200; frequency 0.7; start phase 0; depth 70; back 0
- Create a track
- Generate a noise: white; amplitude 0.8; duration 0.2s
- Use the effect fade out
- Duplicate the track and reapply the fade out effect on this second track
- Change the speed of the second track to 111%
- Duplicate this track
- Apply the fade out effect again
- Change the speed of the second track to 111%
- On the first of the three noise tracks, apply the low pass filter effect with the parameters: 6db; 50Hz
- Amplify the signal
- Do exactly the same thing on the other two noise tracks, with the filter at 200Hz for the first and at 750Hz for the second
- Mix and render to group all tracks
- Use the amplification effect to suppress the saturation zones
