This is a great spotted woodpecker (Dendrocopos major) drumming. It was recorded on the morning of 13th May 2018 in a country park in Essex, UK. The area is mainly comprised of small trees and bushes, though the woodpecker was in an area of larger trees and adjacent to a road and housing estate. Recorded with a Zoom H5 and Sennheiser K6/ME66. There has been some editing to cut unwanted noise, though not through noise reduction. This was carried out with Audacity.
