You are SO lucky. Reading your comment on school made me think "HOLY COW, I feel old!" :D When I went to college, the only technology we commonly had available was a calculator.

Yes, we are all doing a sound module for the final year of our course (http://b.i-dat.org). Our tutor encouraged to use the freesound project to learn more about sampling/mixing.
It's a great site, I'll certainly be using/contibuting to it in the future!

Interesting mix.
I just saw a ton of "audacity test" "metromix" uploads from University of Plymouth students. Tell me, is there a class there that is making use of Freesound? Thanks!
