As far as I am concerned, Strum GS-2 from Applied Acoustic Systems (AAS) and BIAS-FX from Positive Grid are, respectively, the best guitar emulation and guitar FX/Amp emulation plugins that you an get. They go really well together.

I have to agree, that's a really nice sound. I've got some Applied Acoustics VST stuff, I'll have to dig them out sometime. $199 dollars for Lounge Lizard etc though, wow! Expensive stuff. Just a pity they weren't priced like games. Niche, I suppose.
