It is dark. I stand on top of the dune that overlooks the Westerschelde river in the Netherlands. To the right lies the North Sea. Two seagoing ships sail, close to the coast. Behind me, in the dunes, the grasshopper singer sings. It's a bird, but sounds like a grasshopper. At the end of the recording, on the other side of the Western Schelde river, at about 7 km, you hear the bassoons of music.
